General Hospital spoilers tease Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) has been biding his time in Pentonville forming new networks of friends and associates, and more recently, looking out for his nephew, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez).
Since finding God, Cyrus has tried diligently to become a better person. It’s no longer as important to him that his family accept him, because he knows God has forgiven him.
Still, it would be nice to have a family that visits him the way he sees them visit Spencer. However, his brother, Martin ‘Marty’ Grey (Michael E. Knight) only visits when he wants something — much like his sister, Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis). Cyrus is going to be presented with an offer that’s hard to refuse soon, and it just might make him go back on his faith — and his family.
General Hospital Spoilers — Marty Grey Comes Calling
Marty is in dire straits. Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) was shot on Pier 55 weeks ago and the authorities are no closer to figuring out who did it. While Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) knows the truth, that hasn’t been revealed yet and no one knows where Lucy is, although Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) claims she was never really shot and is alive. From Marty’s point of view though, he is losing hope that he will ever see or hold Lucy again.
Every lead he’s chased with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) has led to a dead end. He’s desperate, and he’s ready to make a deal with the devil if he must — anything to get Lucy back. So when he shows up at Pentonville hoping Cyrus will reach out to old associates and try to track Lucy down, the irony won’t be lost on Cyrus that his brother who used to condemn him for being entangled with such people is now asking him to use them for his benefit. Will he help Marty look for Lucy, or is he too high and mighty to stoop that low now?
GH Spoilers – Hints Victor Cassadine Has A Compelling Offer
Cyrus isn’t used to receiving a slew of visitors, and he certainly won’t be expecting Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaugnessy) to be one of them. Why would Victor take an interest in a washed up mob boss like Cyrus — especially given his latest reputation for having cleaned up his act? Victor needs a new way to come at Laura, and knows family is her weak spot. While Cyrus is making in-roads with Spencer, Victor thinks he might make some, too.
General Hospital Spoilers — Team Laura Collins Prevails
Despite all of Cyrus’ shortcomings, he actually does love his family. He’s had a hard time trusting that Marty isn’t going to abandon him, but he has great respect for his sister. After all, who doesn’t respect Laura? Rumor has it Cyrus isn’t going to let Victor get him down, or come between him and his siblings after he’s been working so hard to redeem himself. However, that doesn’t mean Cyrus won’t let Victor think he’s on his side. This should make for an interesting conflict once Victor is finally behind bars with Cyrus. Will Cyrus’ cooperation in getting Victor apprehended earn him brownie points with the parole board? Stay tuned for more General Hospital news and spoilers to find out.
