Lamar Odom Made Drugs “His Girlfriend” During Marriage To Khloe Kardashian

Former Lakers player Lamar Odom who was once married to one of the Kardashian sisters—Khloe Kardashian to be precise, has bared his heart in a trailer for his upcoming show TMZ PRESENTS: “Lamar Odom: Sex, Drugs & Kardashians.”

Speaking with Harvey Levin, Lamar opened up about how his life with drugs ruined his marriage with his ex-wife Khloe. “Drugs, that was my girlfriend. I had a wife and cocaine.”

Lamar admitted to Harvey that he eventually couldn’t hide his addiction to drugs anymore so he had to tell Khloe about it. “For part of my marriage, I had to tell her. You can’t hide that forever.”

From the trailer, it could be seen that Lamar is visibly ashamed of his past. How poorly he treated Khloe even though she stood by him through his drug abuse recovery and all.

When Harvey asked LO if Khloe supported him during his struggles with drugs, embarrassed, LO covered his face with his hand and replied, “Yeah she did.”

LO also shared that, most of the news, or, the things people saw and read online about him and his marriage with Khloe was little compared to the real thing that went on behind closed doors. “Behind the scenes, I put her through some s**t. The things that y’all think y’all know is crazy. But the stories that y’all don’t know is like really crazy.”

The two-time NBA Champion Lamar Odom, 43, and the Good American founder Khloe Kardashian, 38, got married in 2009—after 30 days of laying eyes on each other—their marriage lasted for five years.

They split in 2013 but their Divorce was finalized in December 2016. Their divorce proceeding began in 2015 but was paused midway by Khloe after Lamar was hospitalized for drug overdose, alcohol, and sexual stimulant in October of 2015.

Khloe’s reason for withdrawing from the divorce was so that she could be there for Lamar. Three months later, in January, after Lamar recovered, Khloe filed for divorce again. By December 2016, their divorce was finalized.

Lamar Odom — Lamar’s Regret In Marriage

The first time Lamar spoke about his failure in his marriage with Khloe was during the infamous Oscar slap saga. The one where Will Smith had to issue a giveaway slap to Chris Rock for making a joke out of his wife’s hair.

Yeah, Lamar happened to be aware of what went on that day and he defined that incident as Smith’s act of love for his wife Jada.

“He loves his wife,” wrote LO. “I do not condone violence against anyone. [Will] loves [Jada Pinkett-Smith]. I was told love covers a multitude of sins. I see everyone arguing the merits of this altercation, taking sides, [and] dragging them both to hell when it all boils down to love. He loves his wife. She was hurting, [and] it is a husband’s responsibility to protect his wife.”

Recalling how his marriage ended with Khloe, Lamar said “Had I protected my wife versus mentally, emotionally, and spiritually hurting her, I may still be married,” at this point, Lamar was trying to link the scene to that of his marriage and expressed his regret for not doing things differently.

“Let’s use this as a teaching moment, let’s learn to set boundaries, let’s learn to be humble, let’s learn to embrace and forgive each other in the midst of our trials and tribulations versus sitting on a throne of judgment” he concluded.
