The Family Chantel quickly became a popular TLC spinoff, despite 90 Day Fiance fans claiming they wouldn’t watch the show. Given the toxicity in the family, hardly anyone was surprised that Chantel Everett and Pedro Jimeno split. However, most people seemed to agree that Pedro planned it as he didn’t need to rely on a K1 visa anymore. Nevertheless, there are people who think that when he filed for divorce, it was the fault of Chantel.

Cast your mind back to when you saw Pedro and Chantel in Season 4 of 90 Day Fiance. They’d met and fallen in love when she visited the Dominican Republic. Actually, they’d taken it a step further and secretly became engaged. Clearly nervous about her mom’s reaction, TLC fans thought that she got what she deserved for keeping secrets when her mother erupted. At the time, they believed that Pedro should run for the hills. 

Four years on, the majority of fans of The Family Chantel slammed Pedro Jimeno. Chantel was rumored to be dating Drake the Rapper, and Pedro was loving his wife-free life. Angry fans slammed him for splitting as they think he planned it all very carefully. Accusations arrived that he was very calculated and put up with the abuse from other family members just so he could leave when he didn’t need his wife for the K1 Visa. But, some folks think a bit differently.

While haters slam him because he wanted to ship his family to the USA, others feel that he needed all the support he could get. After all, everything was always so toxic. In fact, when the spinoff first arrived, a lot of people slammed the matriarch, Karen. For many viewers, it was thought to be a case of rewarding bad behavior. Additionally, others think that things went south because Chantel always seemed to be dragging her lip on the floor. 

The Family Chantel fans know that Chantel’s husband entered the real estate market and he seems to be doing really well. Now that the property market is predicted to do even better, he seems to be gloating about it. One follower asked him on Instagram, “How exactly do you look at yourself in the mirror?” And, that’s when a surprising number of supportive comments came in for the TLC star.

One person familiar with The Family Chantel spinoff said, “you gotta give him credit for all the BS her parents gave from day 1.” Next, they opined that he put up with a lot of “harassment” for about six years. So, the fan felt that it was wrong for people to condemn him just because he “tries to get his career going.”

Encouraged, other supporters also explained their takeaways from the show. A fellow sympathizer wrote, “he came home to a sour look and someone who communicates by shouting and having a meltdown. I feel sorry for her patients!” Actually, can you recall a time when Pedro stepped through the door to loving kisses and smiles?
