In Harry’s ticky tack memoir Spare he described how he met with William to discuss “plotting” against former basic cable actress Meghan Markle. Harry expected William to lecture him but that didn’t happen.

Prince Harry elaborated that he thought a staff member was actually “sabotaging” his beloved wife. And to Harry’s surprise William politely listened to the rant. Harry wrote: “Someone suggested that before I left I should step outside with Willy. Cool our heads. All right. We went up and down the yew hedges.”

“The day was freezing. I was wearing only a light jacket, and Willy was in a jumper, so both of us were shivering. I was braced for a lecture. It didn’t come. Willy was subdued. He wanted to listen. For the first time in a long time my brother heard me out, and I was so grateful.”

And how did Harry repay his loyal brother? By stabbing him and the rest of the family in the back the minute he and Meghan broke free and were safe in America. They trashed the monarchy to Oprah Winfrey and blabbed all sorts of vile things about his family to anyone who would listen. Maybe you’ve heard the saying ‘no good deed goes unpunished?’

The Duke of Sussex wrote that he told the future king that there was, “one current staff member, whose close friend was taking payments for leaking private stuff to the press about Meg and me.” He continued, “My sources on this were above reproach, including several journalists and barristers. Plus, I’d made a visit to New Scotland Yard.”

That warm and cozy moment was not replicated in a 2019 incident at Nottingham Cottage where the brothers met up to discuss “the whole rolling catastrophe” of how Harry had shamed his family.

According to Harry, William called Meghan “difficult,” “rude,” and “abrasive.” Things got heated and Harry claims that William swore at him “then came at me. It all happened so fast. So very fast.” And as the world now knows, William allegedly ripped off Harry’s necklace, and knocked him to the floor where the spare landed on the dog’s bowl.
