In the previous episode of the longest-running soap, Roy approached Nina and told her about his agitation about taking his dog, Freddie, for a walk. Thinking that Evelyn could help with the matter, Nina talked to the woman and shared about Roy’s angst. Evelyn then decided to accompany Roy in walking his new pet on the street. However, their great time turned sour when the man suddenly felt weak due to severe chest pains.

Weariness started to devour Evelyn and suggested seeing a heart specialist, so they can know more about her friend’s condition. Later in the week, Roy walked his dog again, but this time, he was alone. Everything went well until Freddie ran off after seeing a cat in the street. As a result, the man found himself in a hospital bed when he experienced another chest pain after keeping pace with Freddie.

In the next scenes of “Coronation Street,” Roy opens up to Nina about his health crisis and he then reveals the operation he needs to undergo very soon.

Before he steps foot at the hospital, the man hands Evelyn some letters for her to distribute if ever he will not make it to the end. The woman goes through the letters and finds one addressed to her.

As Roy attends his surgery appointment, Evelyn wishes him the best of everything. While the procedure is going on, the woman decides to open the letter and reads it to herself.

Meanwhile, Evelyn suddenly feels different after knowing how much she means to Roy. She then heads back to the hospital to talk to her friend about the matter.

However, upon opening the room, she spots Yasmeen Metcalfe at Roy’s bedside with a special surprise of her own. Will Evelyn open up about her affection for Roy? Will Yasmeen become a hindrance to their blossoming feelings?
