See What Tom Cruise Has To Say About The “Mission: Impossible” Franchise Coming To An End

I guess you already know that two “Mission: Impossible” films will be arriving back to back: one of them’s already finished and will be dropping soon, and the other is set to follow within a few short months.

So, when these two high-octane installments are out into the world, what can fans of the spy thriller look forward to next? Tom Cruise hanging in his hat as Ethan Hunt or another adventure, perhaps even a spinoff?

Let’s just hope they don’t kill Hunt off like they did James Bond, amiright? Here’s what Cruise has to say about it.

Tom Cruise Refuses To Reveal The Future Of the “Mission: Impossible” Franchise

Cruise has starred in a lot of action movies, and why not, the guy is 60 and still doing his own stunts. Which movie production doesn’t want that? But, we can either argue that “Mission: Impossible” is his most blood pumping project or you can agree with me, because it is.

During the UK premiere of “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One,” the star talked to Entertainment Tonight about the franchise’s future, and he seemed reluctant to divulge any details just yet.

“You know, I can’t tell you right now,” Cruise told ET. “I want to enjoy this moment right now, and it’s Part One and Part 2. This is a big action-adventure movie for everyone and I look forward to seeing it.”

When “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 2” drops in 2024, it will be the eighth installment in the hit franchise.

“We’re just one constant story that love talking about movies and stories and action and stories and more stories and movies and more movies,” Cruise said of his partnership with “Dead Reckoning” producer and director Christopher McQuarrie, who originally entered the franchise as a director in 2015’s “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.” In 2018, he returned as the director for “Mission: Impossible – Fallout,” which saw him also serve as the screenwriter.

Whether there’ll be more or 2024’s release will be Ethan Hunt’s last hurrah, Cruise has really served us some memorable action, and let’s not even get started on the tough guy quotes.
