The truth is that Finn was talking to a patient. Sheila is his patient. However, Finn should have disclosed that the patient was Sheila. He knew that would send Steffy over the edge, so he withheld that information.

When Steffy sees the video, she unravels. She cannot believe Finn would betray and put their lives at risk. Sheila is capable of anything, and now, she cannot trust her husband to protect their family. Liam, of course, vows to protect her and the kids. He says he won’t let anything happen to her.

Steffy refuses to let Steffy hurt her family. She informs Finn that if he wants to contact Sheila, he must move out and not contact her. She believes this is necessary to protect her family from the Sheila threat.
