The Golden Bachelor spoilers reveal that the hometown visits include some of the contestants’ grandchildren. But while that sounds cute, some viewers felt upset at what happened.
Find out what sparked a backlash on The Golden Bachelor. And keep reading for a sneak peek of the hometown visits.
Golden Bachelor Spoilers – Grandchildren ‘Gross’?
Gerry Turner, 72, made more enemies than fans in a new teaser video for The Golden Bachelor. And many viewers slammed both producers and Turner for what they saw as “gross” mistreatment of contestants’ grandchildren.
The video spoilers via the Sun also sparked a backlash over limiting hometown visits to three. But first, fans complained about what happened after Gerry faced his last three women on The Golden Bachelor.
And spoilers reveal Turner paying visits to the hometowns of contestants Faith, 61, Leslie, 64, and Theresa, 70. However, the sneak peek for The Golden Bachelor featured some of the women’s grandchildren. And fans felt upset at the inclusion of the kids.
For instance, one little boy warned, “You better not hurt my grandma.” And Gerry just laughed. And another little girl glared at the camera crew. However, one youngster declared, “I just think that you should be the new Paw-Paw.” And one child even questioned, “Are you gonna marry my grandma?”
The Golden Bachelor Spoilers – Gerry Turner Cries
And spoilers also revealed families becoming emotional, pleading with Turner over the contestants’ hearts. But Gerry also cries at the rose ceremony over his challenging decision.
However, fans complained about The Golden Bachelor spoilers for several reasons. For example, one shared, “This gave me the ick when I saw it.” And another noted, “From the next week’s preview: ‘You should be my paw paw.’ What? Because if those kids knew the Grandpa before he died I can’t help but feel kinda bad they were dragged on TV for this and said that!! Yikes.”
And some fans compared showing adults’ reactions to those of the children. For instance, one noted, “It’s one thing to meet the adult family members. Yet to involve kids in a whirlwind of a time-frame dating scenario where it’s not even certain, is really inappropriate, I think and feel.” And another pointed out, “There’s a way to meet family without asking if you’re ‘gonna marry my grandma.’ Talk about a pressure cooker. It’s inappropriate and too much.”
However, viewers also felt upset about the hometown dates. And they headed to social media to sound off as Gerry cut the contestants from six to three. One fan commented, “I can’t believe they’re only doing three hometowns.” And another shared, “Only three hometowns and they’re [next] week already? Excuse me, what?”
And one viewer called the cut to just three hometowns “brutal.” But another asked, “Why are we getting robbed with only three hometowns? This was the one season I was genuinely invested in seeing everyone’s families.”

This is for the golden Bachelor it was inappropriate to involve grandchildren you don’t introduce the children or grandchildren of younger years to someone you were dating and not having a full commitment to each other that’s like showing the kids well here I am and then I’m gone playing head games I’m sure the producers had a lot to do with this I am a huge fan of the show I have watched the show since the very first one ever started I love the idea of the golden Bachelor or Bachelorette I just don’t involve children until they see that they are definitely going to walk down the aisle and as far as making comments about the golden Bachelor and the women there’s nothing to say I feel they’re acting appropriately except for that one she was a little bit of a troublemaker but I think that the ones that weren’t chosen took it rather well very maturely and cutting it short to three hometowns is much better than dragging it out it causes more confusion to The Bachelor or Bachelorette the only thing is is that the shows were cut short this time didn’t like that
Gerry looks exhausted ! Also, he’s on TV! He can’t shave for that ?? !!
