“Chrisley Knows Best” Emmy Medders Mourns The Passing Of Her Father

Sad news for Chrisley Knows Best fans, as alum Emmy Medders is mourning the death of her father Michael, who lost his battle with ALS. Emmy had been keeping fans posted about the situation on her social media accounts before this, and the unfortunate news hit her Instagram account, recently.

“Chrisley Knows Best” Emmy Medders Has Had A Hard Year

Emmy’s father had been battling ALS since October 2019. While it had been a struggle for her and her family, the Chrisley Knows Best star tried to remain positive.

Sadly, in the mix of all this, she supported her ex-fiance, Chase Chrisley, while his parents, Julie and Todd Chrisley, were charged and headed to prison.

In November 2022, the two were sentenced to 12 and seven years in jail, respectively, and began their prison terms in January 2023.

Then, Emmy and Chase called off their engagement shortly after this, last summer. Ms. Medders has stayed lowkey since, while Chase found a new love, rather quickly.

She recently gave a social media update noting that her dad wasn’t coming home from the hospice.

Then, shortly after that, Emmy posted a beautiful tribute to her father on Instagram sharing with fans that he had passed on Sunday, February 18.

The IG post was filled with beautiful photos of her dad, their family, and some snapshots of him and her when she was little.

In the post, she talks about how her dad fought for five years with ALS but never complained. She thanked him for everything he taught her, including how to be kind.

In the photo compilation, the final pic was a screenshot of what seems to be a text from her dad. It writes, “Hope everyone has a beautiful day today, say your prayers and thank God for our family and friends. Be kind and thankful for how blessed each of us are, love you.”
