Bachelor fans are not happy with Peter Weber’s mom. They didn’t like what she had to say about Madison Prewett. Fans originally assumed it was Madison that Peter’s mom was talking about when she dramatically said, “Bring her home to us!” on Monday, March 9’s episode. But it turns out that she meant Hannah Anna Sluss.

The Bachelor Season 24 has been a wild ride. The first part of the finale has everyone on a tailspin, especially when Peter Weber’s mom, Barbara Weber, showed a side of herself that fans didn’t like. They didn’t expect to diss Madison Prewett. For much of The Bachelor Season 24, Barbara became a fan favorite with her iconic promos. On Monday night’s episode of The Bachelor Season 24 Episode, Barbara meets Peter’s two final women – Hannah Ann and Madison. She ends up love Hannah Ann. But she’s concerned about Madison wanting to change her son since the couple is dramatically different. Madison is a Christian who’s saving herself for marriage. Peter is not on her level. He’s the same guy who infamously slept with The Bachelorette’s Hannah Brown four times in the windmill.

Madison is honest about her values with Peter’s family. After she leaves, Barbara has a meltdown. She reveals to Peter that Madison is not supportive of him. She fears that Madison will change him. She praises Hannah Ann, claiming that the model loves him for him.

“Hannah Ann loves you with all her heart,” Barbara says through tears. “Don’t let her go. Bring her home to us. We will welcome her with open arms. She’s a dream come true. God has placed her there for you, and that’s what love stories are made of.”

Later, Barbara says in a confessional, “Madison’s a sweet girl, lovely girl. But Hannah Ann is an angel on earth.”

Peter refuses to listen to his mom. He already has his mind made up. He wants to go after Madison. According to Showbiz Cheat Sheet, Bachelor fans have called Barbara the new villain of the season now that Victoria F. is gone. Host Chris Harrison conducted a poll on Twitter. He asked fans whether Barbara had a right to say what was on her mind or if she should have kept her thoughts to herself.

Bachelor fans seemed split 50/50. But this wasn’t the case on social media. Most of the Bachelor Nation didn’t like what Barbara had to say about Madison. They were confused about Barbara’s thoughts on faith while criticizing Madison’s faith at the same time. No matter what you think of Barbara’s emotional plea about Madison on The Bachelor two-part finale, it’s clear that she wants Peter to be happy.
