The View’s panel has been looking very different recently, as co-host Joy Behar has been missing for some days. The good news is that she’s returned and recently offered up an explanation as to why she was absent.
Where Has Joy Behar Been?
Behar recently stepped up to the plate and jumped into the moderator role while Whoopi Goldberg was taking an extended break from the show. Still, when Whoopi returned, Joy then went missing for some days.
During her absence, The View brought in alum Star Jones to keep the conversation going, which was fun for both longtime and newer viewers of the show, but many wondered where Joy was and why she was missing.
Behar Explains Things to View Fans
Some viewers know that Behar has been preparing for her new off-Broadway show, ‘My First Ex-Husband’, and Goldberg had suggested her co-host was away because of this. After all, Behar not only wrote the play but starred in it, too.
Still, when Behar returned to the Tuesday, February 11 edition of The View, she revealed that the play was part of the reason she was away.
Goldberg noted “Joy Behar has come back into the fold. She’s been very busy.” Sill, Behar admitted, “I was sick.” It had to be hard juggling a play production, acting in it, and being sick!
Still, despite this, it sounds like it was all well worth it. After all, Behar shared that some of her View colleagues showed up to her play to support her, including Ana Navarro, Sarah Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin.
The View panel talked about Behar’s play and all the funny moments, but how moving it was, too. Behar was inspired to produce the play by taking “a bunch of stories” women had told her to create ‘My First Ex-Husband’.
It’s important to note that the cast of the play changes about every four weeks, so fans can expect to see soap opera legend Susan Lucci participate in the near future.
