Coronation Street Star, William Roache recently celebrated his 88th birthday this past weekend. Since we are in the middle of a pandemic, he had to celebrate his birth from the comfort of his home for the whole day. As viewers of Coronation Street know, Bill Roache plays the beloved character, Ken Barlow ever since the first episode back in 1960. Recently he spent time with his family at his home for his 88th birthday.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Bill  Roache Celebrates Birthday

The official Coronation Street Twitter celebrated his birthday by posting photos of Bill enjoying his party. In the pictures, it showed him being surrounded by his family with balloons and showed him opening up his presents with excitement. Along with the picture, the caption said “Sending a massive thank you for all your warm wishes from Bill, who’s celebrating his 88th birthday in lockdown at home with his family!” It seems that fans took a liking to see him enjoying his birthday. One of his fans responded to the tweet, saying, “A remarkable man! The cobbles weren’t the same when Ken moved to ‘Stillwater’s… and Corrie wouldn’t be the same without Mr. Roache! ‘Happy Birthday’ to a true legend of television.”

Coronation Street Spoilers – Fans Worried for Corrie Future

As for Coronation Street, fans are worried about the show ending but it seems that Coronation Street has taken many precautions. The show has filmed the four-month worth of episodes not to mention that they went from showing two episodes a day on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to showing one episode on those three days.

Many stars are saying they will run out around July which may mean they will be able to start production before the other episodes run out. This may mean that fans have nothing to worry about. Bill’s character made some pretty big decisions recently deciding to leave Still Waters and moved back to his home. This happened after he ended his relationship with Claudia Colby (Rula Lenska).
