The Nigerian entertainer texted “I love you” to another woman and Lisa saw it. She talks to Umar about the situation. Is there another love interest or is it just a misunderstanding?

Entertainment Tonight posted a sneak peek of Sunday’s episode of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days. In the upcoming installment, Umar is confronted over a text message. He told another woman that he loved her. The couple sits down and has a conversation about the incident. Umar is given the chance to explain and one of them makes a confession.

90 Day Fiance spoilers reveal that Lisa wants answers. Even though the couple hasn’t been together in-person for very long, Umar should know better. Hamme is suspicious and jealous. Of course, she would go through his phone! So, he either didn’t care if she found the message, wanted her to discover it so she would end the relationship, or it’s a big misunderstanding.

90 Day Fiance Spoilers: Explanations and Confessions

Umar claims that he tells a lot of friends that he loves them. He cares deeply for those that are in his life. He also explained that there are different types of “love.” With the text message, it wasn’t meant in a romantic sense. He was simply telling a friend, who happened to be female, that he loved her (just as a friend).

Hamme expresses that she was devastated and heartbroken by the message. It’s hard to read Umar’s mind, though. His facial expressions usually reveal what he’s thinking, but not this time.

TLC Reality TV Personality’s Big Change

The most interesting part of the clip was not the confrontation or Umar’s explanation, though. It was how Hamme dealt with the situation. She didn’t yell or call him names. There were no insults and it actually resembled a normal, grown-up discussion. In the clip that was released, the part shown even has her not interrupting and allowing Umar to speak. We don’t know if she’s like that for the entire episode, but that is a huge step in the right direction!

Although talking about the “love you” text was important, Umar’s explanation makes sense. Many people tell their friends that they love them and it doesn’t mean anything romantic. However, it’s all in how you say it. With text messages, it’s impossible to read body language, facial expressions, or tone of voice. So, we’ll just have to take Umar’s word for it… but will Hamme?
