As she continues to grieve over her father’s death, “Coronation Street’s” Carla Connor will make a huge decision concerning her work that will leave Sarah Barlow in shock.
Carla (Alison King) is still having a hard time moving on with the passing of her father, Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley), who died when he was stuck in the sewers with Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) during the Super Soap Week. Jenny was luckily saved by Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) while Johnny drowned as the waters kept rising in the sinkhole.
Devastated by what happened, Carla confronted David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) for not fixing the sinkhole right away. Stressful days will be ahead of her when she finds her work getting difficult day by day.
Coronation Street Spoilers – At Underworld
Meanwhile, at Underworld, Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien) notices that the Dexter order is due to be shipped to the USA in two days, which Carla ignored. Reminded by her task, she promises Sarah to work on it immediately.
Worried about her situation, Sarah approaches Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) and reveals Carla’s condition. Peter invites Carla for lunch and expresses his concern to his wife.
Later that day, Carla faces Sarah for reporting her to Peter. In an instant decision, Carla declares she will take a holiday off for two weeks even if she knows how busy the factory is. Sarah is shocked by what she hears, worrying, for there are lots of things that need to be done in time.
Happy about putting herself first, Peter supports her wife’s decision so that she will have time to renew herself and focus on her healing process over Johnny’s death.
Without Carla’s presence in the factory, will Sarah Barlow do all the work alone?
‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – Star Alison King Shares “Immense Guilt” after Giving Birth
“Coronation Street’s” Carla Connor talked about her real-life drama, which includes stalker experience, romantic engagements, and the feeling of guilt following the birth of her daughter, Daisy.
Alison King shared how her fiancé, David Stuckley, proposed to her during their Mediterranean cruise days after they celebrated their anniversary. She said that she already has an idea that her fiancé will pop the question anytime when he was trying to put something on her finger.
The 48-year-old actress once engaged to “Corrie’s” sound technician, Adam Huckett, whom she had a daughter with, and to her Dream Team co-star, Jim Alexander.

King also experienced being stalked by a woman way back in 2014. She asked for extra security as the stalker often waits for her at the Corrie studios. As documented by The Sun, the woman seems to be obsessed with the actress and had been repeatedly warned by the authorities to stay away.
The actress also revealed the real-life struggles she encountered when she had Daisy, including the “immense guilt” she felt after giving birth, for her baby came on the same day her close friend Kym Marsh lost hers in 2009.
Marsh shared Alison was having a hard time enjoying being a new mom, knowing that her friend was hurting from the loss of her son. “My friend Alison King, a really good friend of mine gave birth to her daughter on the very same day that I lost my son – literally hours apart,” she said during her interview with Morning Live.
“And the immense guilt that she felt at the fact that she’d delivered her baby so safely and I’d lost my son was such a hard time for both of us,” she continued.
