Coronation Street spoilers and updates for the week of May 26 tease break-in trouble, calculated revenge, and a blast from the past!
Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) causes break-in trouble, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) calculates revenge, and Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) gets a blast from the past.
Break-In Trouble
Brody tenses up as he hears a voicemail from his father. Later, Kit comes home to discover Brody wrecking his apartment, revealing that Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) has convinced him of his innocence and that it’s a setup by the police.
Kit calmly informs Brody that the evidence points in a different direction and that Mick is known to be violent.
Enraged, Brody lunges at Kit, causing him to crash into the wall. The teenager then bolts out of the apartment, his hoodie pulled over his face, just as Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) and Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) arrive.
Kit Confronts Bernie Over Her Alibi For Brody
The next day, Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) informs Kit that Bernie has provided Brody with an alibi. Enraged, Kit confronts Bernie, insisting that she must either inform Lisa that she was wrong or face charges for obstructing justice.
Bernie counters by reminding Kit that Brody is family, which leads Kit to confess to Sarah that he had an affair with Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty), making Brody potentially his son.
Later, Kit tells Brody that he is prepared to drop the burglary charge if Brody can stay out of trouble and avoid becoming like Mick.
Brody then confronts Bernie, demanding to know why she gave him an alibi; will Bernie reveal the truth about Kit?
Calculated Revenge
In his prison cell, Mick is lying on the floor after being beaten-as the week goes on, Kit informs Sarah that today is Mick’s hearing and he believes Mick will plead guilty. Lou comes to see Mick and is taken aback by his injuries.
Mick reveals to her that Kit arranged for his attack and made it clear that if he doesn’t plead guilty, the next beating will be even worse. Lou comes back from the hearing and tells Brody that his dad pleaded not guilty.
Brody is excited, but Lou can’t bring herself to tell him that there will be consequences. Will Kit follow through on his threat and plan another attack on Mick?
Lou Is Fired
This week, Lou also gets fired by Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) and runs into Maria’s husband Gary Windass (Mikey North). Lou expresses her regret to Gary about Mick hurting him, but mentions that she has endured a lot of pain herself over the years.
Gary sympathizes with Lou and offers to buy her a drink, but how will Maria respond? Will Gary’s kindness to Lou be misconstrued-will Lou put Gary in a spot about advocating for her job back?
Jason Grimshaw Returns
In the meantime, Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas) makes an unexpected comeback during a challenging period for his mother, Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver).
Eileen informs Brian Packham (Peter Gunn) and George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) that the substances discovered in Julie’s system were actually the painkillers prescribed to her, not Julie herself.
When Brian makes a seemingly harmless comment, Eileen reacts sharply and prohibits him from attending the funeral.
As George attempts to console Eileen, he feels overwhelmed and confides in Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) that his every action seems to irritate Eileen. The day of the funeral finally arrives, and Eileen presents Brian with a letter from Julie.
Eileen Accused Of Julie’s Death
After going through it, Brian confronts Eileen regarding Julie’s life insurance policy, questioning why she didn’t mention that she is the sole beneficiary; Eileen says she was unaware of it.
Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) suggests that Eileen orchestrated Julie’s death to seize her money, prompting an enraged Eileen to lash out at George for ruining Julie’s wake.
At the pub, the attendees engage in Julie’s favorite game, and George expresses to Eileen that his dream is to marry her.
A shocked Eileen is spared from responding by Jason’s unexpected arrival, but as George lingers, waiting for her answer, what will Eileen decide? And as we reconnect with Jason, what has he been doing during his absence?
Blast From The Past
A dejected Theo discloses that his children failed to arrive for breakfast as planned; when Theo catches a glimpse of something on Todd’s phone, he becomes unsettled. What could it be?
The situation takes a troubling turn at Julie’s wake when a man named Noah Hedley (Richard Winsor) walks into the pub and greets Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank).
Theo rushes outside, and upon informing Todd that Noah was involved in his conversion therapy, Todd is horrified. Will he confront Noah and reveal the truth about his actions to Billy, who appears to be familiar with Noah?
Carl’s Shady Deal
Elsewhere, Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) has a plan. Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) introduces Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) to his former girlfriend Fiona (uncredited), which annoys Debbie.
Ronnie tells her that Fiona is merely a friend, and Debbie pretends not to care before deciding to outsmart him by making him think she has a new boyfriend.
Carl warns Ronnie to stay away and kicks him out of the hotel, leading to a confrontation between the two men. The next day, Fiona offers Ronnie a job selling a stolen car, and he gives a customer his best sales pitch.
Ronnie Regrets His Decision
However, when the man mentions that his wife recently passed away, Ronnie is taken aback and refuses to sell the car.
Ronnie tells Fiona that the customer wasn’t interested, but Carl witnesses the situation and demands explanations. Soon after, Carl seizes the opportunity to take a job at Webster’s garage.
With Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) and a frustrated Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine) out of the picture, Carl contacts Fiona and accepts delivery of a questionable car-is he running a scam using unsuspecting Kev’s business?
Carla Has Questions For Lisa
Carla Connor (Alison King) needs to talk to her girlfriend Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) to clear up a few things. Carla inquires whether Lisa truly meant what she expressed regarding their future together.
After a challenging few months, Lisa conveyed to her partner her desire to hold onto happiness. However, what more has Lisa expressed, and what are Carla’s feelings about this statement?
