Caitlyn Jenner Reveals How She Helped Speed Up Robert Kardashian And Kris Jenner’s Divorce

Who would have thought that Caitlyn Jenner had a hand in the way her ex-wife Kris Jenner‘s first husband Robert Kardashian Sr. divorced her?

Well, the former Olympian detailed how she was able to convince Robert to get on with the divorce in the Peacock’s new documentary “House of Kardashian.”

The late Robert and Kris had four children, Kourtney, 44, Kim, 43, Khloe, 39, and Robert Kardashian Jr., 36. It happened that Kris cheated on Robert with a younger guy after getting bored of her marriage.

When Robert caught Kris cheating, he filed for divorce. However, Caitlyn revealed in the documentary that Robert was hurt by the discovery and tried to make it hard for Kris before she stepped in.

In the clip, Caitlyn shared how miserable the divorce process made Kris and how she had to have a chat with the lawyer. Caitlyn said, “She was having a rough time with Robert in the divorce when I came into the picture.”

According to the 74-year-old, she invited Robert to dinner to try to convince him to finalize the divorce. “He was doing everything to kind of make her life miserable. I saw what was going on from the outside and just said, ‘This is ridiculous.’ So, I called Robert up and said, ‘Hey, let’s go to dinner,'” said Caitlyn.

She continued, “We met on Hamburger Hamlet on Sunset Boulevard, just the two of us in a booth in the back, and I basically said to him Kris is moving on. Sorry, but she’s moving on. I said, ‘I can take over from here. So, let’s just make this final signing of the papers as simple as possible.’ And he did.”

A month after Robert divorced Kris, Caitlyn (who was Bruce Jenner then), got married to the momager, and their marriage which produced two daughters Kendall, 28, and Kylie, 26, lasted 22 years before they divorced.

Recalling the events that led to their marriage, Caitlyn said, “We had been together five months and having a wonderful time. I wanted to get the wedding over with so we could move on with a normal life, even if it’s four kids and four step-kids. As normal a life as we can make it.”

The last time Caitlyn spoke with Robert wasn’t at the dinner table the night she convinced Robert to finalize the divorce. Caitlyn revealed that she had the privilege of speaking with Robert days before he passed away from esophageal cancer in 2003.

She remembered how “He was really hurting, and I said to him, ‘Hey, remember if I was in your position, my only worry would be for my kids. That the kids are gonna get through this. I just want you to know that I will always be there for the kids.’ And he says, ‘Oh, you didn’t have to say that. I knew you would.’ And a week later he died.”
