Gwyneth Paltrow And Hailey Baldwin Bieber DEFEND Nepotism For Celebrity Kids!Gwyneth Paltrow never avoids controversy. For instance, the actress recently threw shade at Jennifer Lopez for tying the knot with Ben Affleck. And recently Paltrow stunned with her remarks defending nepotism. After making candles scented like lady parts, Gwyneth turned her attention to the topic of celebrity children.

But though it could have turned into a sweet, sentimental walk down memory line, Paltrow and her conversation partner Hailey Baldwin Bieber shocked with their comments. Find out what the two said about celebrity kids that sparked a backlash. Get all the details below.

Gwyneth Paltrow And Hailey Baldwin Bieber – Chat In Bathroom

When we think of cozy places to chat, bathrooms don’t usually top the list. But Hailey Baldwin Bieber feels that a bathroom makes the perfect spot for her vlog, titled Who’s In My Bathroom. And this week, Gwyneth Paltrow stepped through the doors for a discussion, noted Marie Claire.

As always, the model’s conversation topics and activities ranged all over the place. For instance, after welcoming her guest Gwyneth to her bathroom, Hailey teamed up with Paltrow to make mint chocolate chip smoothies. And they addressed the topic of skincare. But although fans couldn’t smell it, the two celebrities seemed to especially enjoy an aromatherapy challenge. However, then came the controversial part of the bathroom chat.

Gwyneth and Hailey both grew up as celebrity children. For instance, the late director Bruce Paltrow and actress Blythe Danner raised Gwyneth. And Steven Spielberg served as her godfather. Hailey experienced similar advantages as the daughter of Stephen Baldwin and the niece of Alec Baldwin. But Paltrow denied that nepotism means an unfair advantage.

Gwyneth Paltrow – Feels Celebrity Kids Deserve An Advantage

Hailey and Gwyneth agreed that non-celebrities don’t understand why it’s like to grow up as the child of a celebrity. “As the child of someone, you get access other people don’t have, so the playing field is not level in that way,” admitted Paltrow to Bieber. “However, I really do feel that once your foot is in the door, which you unfairly got in, then you almost have to work twice as hard and be twice as good.”

And Paltrow complained about getting criticized for nepotism by people who say she succeeded only because of her parents. Hailey agreed, admitting she needed to hear that defense. But the two celebrities supporting nepotism sparked a backlash.

For instance, one critic wrote, “Sigh … just sigh.” And another pointed out that just getting that foot in the door represents a huge advantage. “Most people work hard their entire lives and never even get to see the door,” added the critic. “No one feels bad for your kids sorry Gwyneth.”

Hailey Baldwin Bieber – Earns Praise For Playful Side

However, some fans praised Hailey. For instance, one fan wrote, “We got to see such a playful and relaxed side of Hailey! She tends to keep more private (for super understandable reasons! Not a critic, just an observation). It just felt so good to watch this video, it warmed my heart, and had me a lot of fun.”

And another chimed in, “Thanks for the amazing work you’re doing Hailey, we love you.” Several wanted Hailey to post more such videos, with one calling her “the energy I feel we all need from the internet.” And yet another gushed, “Hailey seems so sweet and genuine. I love her so much.”
