Jay-Z’s Alleged Son Takes Him To Court Over DNA Test

I really don’t know how to say that a 30-year-old man is accusing Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, of being his biological father. After ten years of fighting to be acknowledged, Rymir Satterthwaite is convinced that the time has come for him to be heard and for the law to grant him justice.
However, Jay-Z’s attorneys are not so sure about that.

Rymir has been entangled in a legal battle with the world famous rapper Jay-Z for ten years now. In February, after having his previous claims dismissed by the court, he filed a Supreme Court motion requesting that the case be unsealed.

In it, he accused Jay-Z of using his pull to keep the case under wraps in order to avoid getting a paternity test.

To recap, this battle started when Rymir was just 21 years old. He has also previously claimed that he doesn’t want anything from Jay-Z rather than an acknowledgement that he is part of his family.

Jay-Z’s attorneys pushed back on the narrative in a statement shared with Daily Mail, writing, “The allegations have been previously reviewed thoroughly by the courts and have been refuted. I am sure that will be the outcome of whatever filings Mr. Satterthwaite is may be currently considering.”

Rymir Alleges That Jay-Z Had A Romantic Fling With His Late Mother Wanda In The Early 1990s.

 While Jay-Z has never denied the affair, he has refused to take a paternity test.  “This is not going to be over until justice is served,” Rymir said. “I just want to live my life and, when it is all said and done, I hope that Jay-Z would want to be a part of my life, if that is God’s will. I won’t stop fighting for this until I win. And I will win because the law is on our side.”

However, Rymir’s February filing was dismissed by the court because it did not have jurisdiction to re-open matters in the appeals court or to unseal records in the trial court. The 29-page document argued that keeping the documents of the court case, which dates back to 2012, sealed has prevented the case from moving on.

It was then refiled in the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court, which is still considering whether the points made have enough evidence for the court to proceed.

A Brief History Of Jay-Z’s Alleged Romance With Rymir Satterthwaite

According to Rymir, his late mother Wanda alleged she had sex with Jay-Z in the fall of 1992, when she was yet in an on-again off-again romance with her highschool sweetheart.

At the time, Wanda was 16 and Jay-Z 22, and was yet to release the album that gained him recognition in the rap world – his 1996 debut studio album, “Reasonable Doubt.”

At first, it’s said that Wanda had believed that Rymir was fathered by her highschool sweetheart Robert Graves, who appears on Rymir’s birth certificate as his biological father.

However, Wanda has always had doubts about whether Robert really fathered Rymir, and as Rymir grew, these doubts turned into a conviction when Rymir didn’t have any resemblance to Graves, but instead bore a resemblance to the rapper famously known as Jay-Z. At age 8, Wanda would go on to tell Rymir that Jay-Z is his real father.
