The group, which includes Depp, Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Tommy Henriksen, performed recently in Boston. And one young fan, 12-year-old Molly Smith, told People about her excitement.

Getting a hug from and a selfie with Depp made Smith feel tearful with joy. “He smiled at me and all I could get out was `hi’,” Smith admitted. And she explained, “My mom got me into his movies and into his music. I can’t believe I just met him.”

And the little girl’s mother, Cathy Smith, praised Depp for his “unbelievably sweet” kindness to all the fans. “He really was so nice,” gushed Cathy. “And I’ve never seen her that excited. She will never forget this.”

Johnny Depp Tours With Hollywood Vampires

The Hollywood Vampires offered their fans a 19-song set list. And Depp’s performance of “People Who Died” (The Jim Carroll Band cover) got the audience cheering. But chants began as well, ranging from “We love you, Johnny” to “Jack Sparrow rocks.” And Johnny got more cheers for a cover of David Bowie’s song “Heroes.”

Depp donned an all-black ensemble, including black pants and black vest. And the actor/musician shared his gratitude to the audience. For instance, Johnny held his fist to his heart, then reached it out to the crowd, smiling and waving. And his performance included guitar as well as alternating between lead and back-up vocals.

The encore featured Cooper’s famous “Schools Out.” And fans then moved close to the stage to give Depp gifts such as stuffed animals and a personalized Hollywood Vampires jacket. But before the show, some fans worried that it might get cancelled.

However, Iliana Donis, 32, shared that the sight of the “equipment trucks [and] tour buses” made them “confident that the show would go on.” And she confided that Depp drew her to the concert. “I’m just such a fan of his and the kind of person he is,” gushed the mother of four. “I love his acting, his music, his art. But he is so humble, too.”

And Cooper revealed that he enjoyed time in Boston prior to the concert. “We usually don’t get that kind of time off,” shared the musician. “So my wife and I went everywhere in and around Boston.” And prior to performing, Cooper enjoyed “some great food and played golf.”
