Kelly Clarkson Will Move To New York City For Her Talk Show — Here’s Why

The “Already Gone” singer Kelly Clarkson will no longer be having her talk show “The Kelly Clarkson Show” filmed in Los Angeles. The show has been moved to a different city, New York City. — Per “NBCUniversal” on Tuesday, May 9.

Kelly Clarkson — Why Kelly’s Show Will Be Filmed In New York City

As it stands, the show’s upcoming season which is season 5 will be filmed in New York City courtesy of the expansion of New York’s Film Tax Credit, a law which was recently signed by New York Governor Kathy Hochul.

The statement says, “As part of the program’s expansion, New York now provides an incentive to eligible television series that relocate to New York and reduces the eligibility requirements for talk and variety shows from five years of filming to two years of filming.”

The statement also shared info on the building which the “I Dare You” singer will be filming her show, “‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ will film in the iconic studio 6A, former home for late-night talk show hosts Jimmy Fallon, David Letterman and Conan O’Brien.”

It further explained, “The investment includes the cost of a new state-of-the-art studio, technical facility and support space.”

Kelly’s show was recently renewed through 2025. Meanwhile, back in 2021, NBCUniversal announced that Kelly’s show would take over “The Ellen DeGeneres Show’s” time.

Kelly Clarkson — On Kelly’s Upcoming Album “Chemistry”

While Kelly is warming up to move into her new studio in New York City, she is also warming up to release her upcoming album “Chemistry” into the world come next month, June.

A week before her concert which took place early this month, the 41-year-old mom of two told “Entertainment Weekly” that her “emotions kind of murdered me.” An outburst which was unexpected even for her that she had to turn to the audience to apologize.

Speaking of her post-divorce album, Kelly told the outlet that “Chemistry” has left her “very honest” but she managed to peel off some parts of the songs which were “too truth-telling.”

Kelly said, “I know people will hear this record and be like, ‘Oh, damn, she went there!’ and I’m like, ‘No, I promise you I didn’t.'” Meanwhile, immediately following Kelly’s album release is her Las Vegas residency which will be coming up in July.
