‘Lightyear’ Star Chris Evans Reveals His Favorite Marvel CharacterHollywood news and updates tease that Chris Evans revealed his favorite Marvel character and it was not Captain America.

Chris Evans has been in several successful movies, but he rose to fame when he portrayed the role of Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America, in a blockbuster hit movie, “The Avengers.” He also played the role of Hugh Ransom Drysdale in 2019’s “Knives Out” in which he was filled with memes on the internet because of the iconic knitted sweater he wore in one scene.

In one of his upcoming movies this year, the 41-year-old actor recently starred in another animated movie that was adapted from “Toy Story” and produced by Pixar and Walt Disney Pictures. He served as the voice of Buzz Lightyear, an astronaut who explores outer space with his robot companion. According to Angus MacLane, the director of the movie, Evans “has the gravitas and that movie star quality” which is suitable for the character.

As he continued to promote his movie “Lightyear,” Evans appeared on the D23 Inside Disney podcast and they happened to discuss his Marvel heroes and movies. When asked about his favorite character, he revealed that Captain America was not his choice but Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man.

Evans also found himself confused between “Winter Soldier” and “Endgame” when asked about his favorite MCU movie. However, during his previous interview with Men’s Journal, he chose “Winter Soldier” as it was the time he got to understand his character and it was his first time working with the Russo brothers, the director of the movie.

Chris Evans – Finds Buzz Lightyear Role Similar To Captain America

In other news, Chris Evans said that playing the role of Buzz Lightyear was like signing on to Captain America. “You have to understand there will be a lot of people who have an idea in their heads, but this is like when I signed on to Captain America. You know there is a baked-in-the-cake fanbase, but that fanbase is there because they have an understanding in their mind of what the character already is,” Evans stated during his interview with EW.

Evans stated his love for the Pixar movies and working with the production was “intimidating and daunting.” He also acknowledged the previous work of Tim Allen and hailed himself as a huge fan of “Toy Story.”
