Will Smith – Tries Twice To Make Effective Instagram Comeback

In the cancel culture era, celebrities like Will Smith have learned to plan their social media posts carefully. And alas, the actor’s first attempt at a post-apology Instagram fell flat. In that first post, Will uploaded a video of a gorilla slapping away a smaller animal. And he created a message, “Me trying to get back on social.”

Oops. Smith likely hoped that fans would rush to reassure him that they longed for his return to social media. However, he received only two supporters. First, Dog Whisperer animal trainer Cesar Milan wrote, “ANIMAL KINGDOM IS WITH YOU WILL.” And second, pop singer Justin Bieber sweetly wrote, “We miss u.” 

Apparently believing in the philosophy that if at first you don’t succeed, try again, Will went for a second Instagram post in his return. And this video went viral for its unusual cast of the actor, his son, and a spider. Sharing that he posted from a Holiday Inn, Smith showed a very large, very scary spider crawling across the floor. To the rescue: Will’s son Trey!

In the video, Will hopped on a chair as he watched the creature strolling near him. And he immediately turned to his oldest son Trey. “What the whole hell. That is a big A** spider,” pointed out Smith. 

Trey kindly informed his dad that he had identified the spider as a tarantula. But the clever 29-year-old figured out a way to use a glass cup to capture the critter. And Smith, 53, took on the role of coach, declaring, “Come on you’re young and strong and you can handle the bite.”

However, after Will watched Trey capture the spider beneath the glass, he hopped off the chair and teamed up with his son. And using a piece of paper, the dad and son succeeded in eliminating the creature. But Trey took time to point out their historical achievement. “Okay, now that’s the biggest spider we have ever seen in our lives,” Trey noted.

Fans loved the video. For instance, one joked, “When y’all get thru, come get the one in my yard! Pls and thank you! Friggin jungle out here!!!!” And another cheered, “@treysmith0011 you’re a damn hero 🤣😬.” As a result of all that work, Trey won new followers. For example, one confessed, “I seriously had to follow him after all this courage and strength lol. Not all heroes wear capes 😂👏🏽❤️ 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽.”
