However, Holland just proved that he earned his reputation for honesty after spilling spoilers for almost every movie in which he’s appeared. And the candid actor clarified the status of his relationship with his Spider-Man co-star Zendaya.

Despite the fact that his girlfriend unfollowed him on Instagram, Tom insisted that the couple did “absolutely not” split up.

As for what it means that Zendaya stopped following Holland and various other folks on social media, no comment from Holland. But Tom did make it evident that he thinks he’s still in a romance with Zendaya. And the Spider-Man actor chatted to paparazzi on his way to his car, looking dashing in his bright green hoodie.

But the couple has developed a reputation for wanting to keep their romance private. Zendaya and Holland met on the set of the Spider-Man movies. And while they portrayed love interests Peter Parker and MJ, gossip about a real-life romance started in 2017. However, the two stayed under the radar until 2021, when paparazzi caught the couple kissing at a stoplight in Los Angeles.

And Holland explained his reasons for wanting to keep his romance with Zendaya private. “Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of,” said the actor. “And we want to keep as sacred as possible. We don’t think that we owe it to anyone, it’s our thing,” he added. “And it has nothing to do with our careers.”

And the Euphoria actress offered her own insights on her privacy. “Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public. I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share,” she noted.

And Zendaya clarified that she focuses on “protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist. You can’t hide. That’s not fun, either. I am navigating it more than ever now.” However, when the actress wore a ring that she showed on social media, rumors soared that she had become engaged.

And the actress expressed frustration on Instagram. “I can’t post anything, you guys. I posted it for my hat. Like not for the ring on my right hand, you guys, seriously…You think that’s how I would drop the news? You think, like, what!”
