Coronation Street Spoilers: Bill Fellows Looks Forward to Stu and Yasmeen’s Romance

Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Bill Fellows talked about his character’s possible romantic relationship with Yasmeen Nazir.

During her interview with Daily Star last May, Shelley King revealed the possible storyline for the Speed Daal owner, Yasmeen Nazir, and the formerly homeless man, Stu Carpenter. When asked about a potential romance between the two characters, King responded, “I think possibly! Yasmeen is a mender, she’s a fixer, and I think that’s very attractive to her. He’s gentle, he’s human, he’s cuddly and Yasmeen wants to save him.”

The 66-year-old actress mentioned that if her character will soon find love with Stu, she hoped that it won’t be as tragic as her past relationship. She believed that in their future storyline, Yasmeen will find it hard to trust again because of her experiences in the past, but she will find comfort in the gentle kind of man she found in Stu.

Bill Fellows Confirms Upcoming Romance in the Cobbles

In his latest chat with Inside Soap, Bill Fellows, the actor who plays Stu Carpenter in the longest-running soap, confirmed his possible onscreen romance with Shelly King’s Yasmeen Nazir. “Yes! And without giving too much away, I think we’re heading that way,” he said.

Though there will be a lot of circumstances in the middle of their relationship, just like how Stu deals with his past, the two will still find ways to pursue each other. Talking about his onscreen partner, Fellows mentioned that King is great, especially in portraying the role of Yasmeen.

Bill Fellows Mentions the ‘Big Storyline’ for Stu Carpenter

In one of the episodes of “Corrie,” Stu tries to reconnect with his daughter, Bridget, whom he didn’t see for 15 years. When Yasmeen learns about her friend’s past, without Stu’s knowledge, she makes a way to track down Bridget and helps the father and daughter to see each other again.

During his talk with Digital Spy last month, Bill Fellows shared the upcoming storyline that involves Stu’s past. “I don’t think I can say too much, but there’s a big storyline about Stu’s past and why he was homeless when we first met him,” he uttered.

The 65-year-old actor didn’t give much detail about the upcoming scenes, but it will surely feed the viewers’ curiosity as to how Stu Carpenter was able to step foot on the cobbles.
