Coronation Street spoilers have revealed evil Corey Brent will exit Weatherfield in an intense scene when he finally gets his comeuppance as new evidence regarding his involvement in Seb Franklin’s death comes to light.
Previous episodes saw Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) and Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) on a mission to persuade a homeless man called Stu to hand into them Corey’s incriminating backpack, which he disposed of after that fateful night.
Next week, Stu finally caves into Asha and Nina’s request and hands over Corey’s blood-stained clothes to the police, which the bully wore when he brutally kicked Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) which led to his death.
On the flip side, Corey (Maximus Evans) demands that Stu give him his stuff, unaware that the homeless man has already got rid of them while feigning ignorance.
Later on, Nina hears from the police that they are reopening Seb’s case hoping to arrest murderer Corey. Will justice be served?

Soon enough, Corey hears about his upcoming doom and his dad, Stefan (Paul Opacic) arranges their escape plan. In order to buy some time, Corey and Stefan hide out in their secret place with Eli’s father, Christian, offering them some help.
When Christian comes with a van and some cash, Stefan and Corey sweep to ride into the back. In the van, Stefan shares his plans to escape to another country, ensuring Corey he can start a new life abroad as a footballer.
Stefan’s plans are going smoothly until the van comes to a stop. What happens to Christian? Will he take a turn and hand Stefan and Corey over to the police instead? Or will they be able to escape in time?

When asked about the reason for his exit, Evans revealed he’s at Guildhall [School of Music and Drama] currently to pursue a two-year acting course.
“I wanted to train beforehand. I wanted to get my degree beforehand and now I’ve gone back to get it and I want to further my training,” he shared.
The actor also teased his exit might not be permanent as he’s open to returning as Corey again in the future: “I owe the show a lot so of course I’d come back, I’d love to see it happen further down the line to create that bigger impact if it ever was to happen but I love the show and it’s been an honour to be part of it.”
