Coronation Street Spoilers – An Exciting Opportunity For The Show
Jenny and Johnny’s dramatic storyline was revealed to be the soap’s great opportunity for a new Product Placement partnership with Purplebricks.
ITV has previously announced the soap’s promotion of the nation’s most iconic pub.
“The presence of a real Purplebricks sign outside adds a little bit of realism to a really relatable story between two of our best-loved characters,” Iain explained.
Corrie viewers know that this isn’t the soap’s first time featuring major products as it has partnered with coffee giant Costa and the Co-Op supermarket.
“We’ve successfully integrated Product Placements into our programmes for a number of years, and Coronation Street has been the most prominent example of this, bringing recognisable brands to viewers,” Mark Trinder, ITV Director of Commercial Sales and Partnerships explained.
He continued by saying that this new partnership has given them a unique opportunity of weaving the agreement into one of the major storylines and working closely with the editorial and production teams, as the first in the soap’s history.
