Coronation Street Spoilers: Daisy Turns Nasty As Nicky Returns

Coronation Street spoilers and updates reveal Charlotte Jordan says her character Daisy Midgeley is turning into another level of a villain as a significant person from her boyfriend’s past returns.

It took Daisy (Jordan) a while to get real with her feelings for the teacher Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) after numerous break-ups with him. If not for Lydia (Rebecca Ryans), who shared a brief relationship with Daniel, she wouldn’t know how important Daniel is to her.

So when an important person from Daniel’s past, Nicky Wheatley (Kimberly Hart-Simpson) returns, Daisy is on a protective mode and would go to lengths to fence him in.

‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – Reprising Her Role

Actress Kimberly Hart-Simpson announced last December that she’ll be reprising her role as the former sex worker Nicky after leaving in 2020 when Daniel handed her money to pay off her debts. She posted a picture of Nicky on Instagram and wrote: “She’s back! @coronationstreet 2022!!! “Return of the side-eye.”

Soon she’ll appear on our screens as she’s already filmed her new scenes when she posted another update a few weeks ago. Wearing an ITV branded red coat she took a snap in Corrie’s dressing room, the actress posted on IG: “Always thought I would make a good red coat. Good to be back.”

Nicky’s fans are hyped up by the news of her return but this speaks war with Daisy. How will she make her life miserable?

‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – “It’s A Red Flag”

In upcoming scenes, Nicky will apply for a job at Weatherfield High where Daniel works, as she’s decided to stay on the cobbles.

Jordan revealed that Daisy sees this as a “red flag” because she has heard “absolutely nothing” about Daniel’s old flame and how significant she is in his life.

“You know, she’s [Nicky] a beautiful lady asking about her boyfriend who she’s only just got back on a stable footing with. So Daisy being Daisy sees the threat and tries to get rid of them,” she told Digital Spy.

Jordan teased that her character, as she already is, will be very “impulsive” and won’t react maturely as she could when she later learns about Nicky’s past as an escort. Daniel won’t also be helping because he’ll hide the details from her which will feed her insecurities and fears of protecting what she has with Daniel now.

“Daisy being Daisy, and being so insecure, I think she’ll just see her as a threat,” she teased.

The actress looks forward to a face-off with her love rival and is willing to “get it done old school style” if not only for the restrictions. “It’s what Corrie’s known for really, strong women showdowns… That would be lovely,” she added.
