Corrie spoilers reveal that ever since Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) was revealed to be alive, he has been trying to get Billy back. His schemes have become more cruel and intense. The last one ended up nearly killing Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby). Right now, Billy is a single man and has been spending time with Todd. It is teased that the two will end up getting back together, but then Todd loses everything all over again.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Gay Wedding Teased

Speaking with Express, Brocklebank was asked about the possibility of a gay wedding. There were previously two lesbian couples that planned to marry, but the soap split both of them apart. We did see Roy Cropper (David Neilson) marry the soap’s first transgender character in 2010. As fans may recall, that was Hayley Cropper (Julie Hesmondhalgh). However, if Billy got married, it would be the soap’s first gay wedding.

“From my perspective, I would love to be part of the first gay wedding. Because actually, none of the others have followed through. They’ve only attempted three, two of them were lesbian weddings and neither happened. I think the roof collapsed on one and it was a jilting of the other, I believe. It would be lovely as a gay man myself to be part of the first gay wedding on Corrie that actually happens.”

Coronation Street Spoilers – Will Billy Mayhew Quit The Church?

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that the actor also said that if Billy and Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) ended up tying the knot, they might face one more hurdle. Brocklebank is pretty sure that Billy would want a religious wedding and that it would be important for him to get married in the church.

The actor also teased that at the same time, it is possible that Billy could quit the church for love. He’s tried to do it twice before, once for Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) and then for Todd.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Paul Foreman’s Future

As for Paul’s future, there is a strong hint that he could get back together with Billy. If Todd gets everything he wants but loses it all, then Billy must find out about his scheming. Once he learns who is really responsible for Summer’s accident, he will be furious. That means he will realize that Paul was innocent the whole time and it was all a setup. With that being said, don’t expect Todd to throw in the towel. He is way too tenacious and stubborn to ever give up.
