Coronation Street Spoilers – Daniel Osbourne’s Intense Grief

Corrie spoilers reveal that Daniel went through intense grief after Sinead died from cancer. He drank heavily, neglected to get his baby boy the proper vaccinations, and wasn’t even taking care of himself. After nearly getting into an accident, he seemed to shape up a bit.

He relied on his friendship with Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon). However, he would look at Bethany and mistake her for Sinead. Then he suddenly dived into a romance and actually proposed to Bethany using his dead wife’s ring!

According to Metro, Daniel is returning from his retreat. There isn’t much information on what to expect from the character. However, we do know that he has a conversation with Ken. When asked if the retreat was helpful, Daniel assures him that it was. But is that really the truth?

It is implied that Daniel’s answer to Ken is extremely brief. You would think that Daniel would recall how the retreat helped him with his feelings. That he could share the coping skills he learned. That he would announce what changes he was going to make in his life moving forward. Maybe even talk to Ken about his plans to be an amazing single father to his little boy.

But none of that seems to happen, at least to our knowledge. Could this be an indication that Daniel is lying to Ken?

The publication speculated that Daniel might return with a huge secret. But what could it possibly be? We know that Daniel has struggled with taking care of his son in recent months. This might just be due to grief. But it’s also possible that he may have reached an agreement with Beth Sutherland (Lisa George).

After all, she took care of the little boy while Daniel was at the retreat. She is always quick to point out all of Daniel’s parenting mistakes. Could she have convinced him the little boy would be better off with her? We will have to keep watching the ITV soap opera to find out what happens when Daniel returns.
