In order to help Asha, Dev ended up enrolling her, as well as Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) in private school. However, Asha’s striptease video was also being distributed by the students there. Then, he hired an expensive reputation management firm to help his daughter. Unfortunately, it has put Dev in debt and the bills are continuing to pile up. It is a secret that he is trying to keep from everyone, including his daughter.

He will be overwhelmed with stress by a pile of unpaid bills and will struggle over how he is going to continue providing for his family. Asha will be able to tell that something is bothering her father, so she offers to pick up hours at the shop. When she arrives there, Cathy Matthews (Melanie Hill) confides in Asha that Dev cut her hours. She also relays this information to Mary.
