Coronation Street Spoilers: Evelyn Plummer Berates Tyrone After Leaving Fiz

Coronation Street spoilers and updates reveal that Tyrone Dobbs is set to receive criticisms from his grandmother, Evelyn Plummer, after knowing he had ruined things with his long-time partner, Fiz Stapes, over new lover Alina Pop.

Evelyn (Maureen Lipman) has returned to the cobbles and was disappointed upon knowing her grandson has brought Alina into his family house with Fiz (Jennie McAlpine). Evelyn was in no way happy with the situation, and she managed to convince Tyrone (Alan Halsall) to ask Alina (Ruxandra Porojnicu) to leave.

Lately, Alina insisted they should have a place they can call their own and so Tyrone moved out of the family home to shack up with his new lover and her housemate Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell), which made Evelyn furious.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Reality Taking Over

Corrie spoilers tease that Tyrone will face financial struggles. He has two houses to support, is struggling to buy the salon flat, and has to buy new shoes for his and Fiz’s children, Ruby and Hope. Additionally, Alina asks him to buy her some luxurious coffee cups for their flat.

Evelyn confronts Tyrone and gives him an earful for bringing himself into that situation. She also reminds him his main priority should be his children rather than to spoil his new lover with luxury cups.

Much to Evelyn’s disappointment, Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) later hires Tyrone as a part-time deliveryman for the corner shop to help him ease his financial struggles. It irks Evelyn to know that they’ll probably see each other at work.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Returning To Play

Evelyn’s return to the cobbles was timely in terms of the ongoing storylines between Tyrone and Fiz. Viewers are also happy to have her on Fiz’s side.

The actress had taken some time off the ITV soap to deal with the passing of her late husband while she was also waiting for her second shot of the COVID vaccine.

Earlier this year, Lipman announced that her partner Guido Castro died after suffering from the coronavirus. The pair started dating in 2008 and had been together for over 13 years.

Lipman clarified to the Daily Mail that it wasn’t the virus that killed his partner “but it weakened him terribly. We don’t know how he got it or when or if he had it when he got the vaccine.”

In a care home, Maureen was able to be by his side during his last moments. He was living there since he suffered from many health issues. She also shared the last words she told her late partner: “I said to Guido, ‘It’s time to go. You’ve got to let go’. And I think for once in his life he actually did what I told him.”
