Freshco’s Demands and Expectations

Corrie spoilers previously teased that Gemma and Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) would have an opportunity. They tried their best to handle the Freshco deal. However, it would prove to be too much, especially with quadruplet babies. Gemma was under a lot of stress, was exhausted, and emotional.

One of her babies was diagnosed with deafness, so there were even more medical appointments and anxiety. Remember, her postpartum depression was undiagnosed at the time. It would be a lot for anyone and in the end, the couple finally had enough.

Corrie Spoilers: Mental Health Storyline

Soon after the couple parted ways with Freshco, Gemma began her mental health storyline. It showed just how dark one’s mind can become when dealing with an undiagnosed mental illness. She had nightmares about hurting her children, was overwhelmed, wasn’t sleeping, and even left her quads on a bus.

Now, Gemma is getting treatment and using other lines of support to help her recover. One of those is a support group. She is being very honest about the dark thoughts and images that were in her mind.

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that the support group won’t be the only place where Gemma is brutally honest. She is encouraged to start a vlog, Digital Spy reports. The idea has good intentions. Not only could Gemma help herself by voicing her thoughts, she could potentially help others too. However, there is such a thing as being too honest.

Gemma slams Freshco in her vlog and talks about their destructive methods. She accuses the company of fooling others into trying to achieve impossible ideals. We all know how loud, direct, outspoken, and opinionated Gemma can be. So, just imagine the effect that this vlog has on the public, as well as the company.

Coronation Street Spoilers: Lawsuit and Character Assassination?

Just because Gemma isn’t partnered up with Freshco anymore doesn’t mean everything in the contracts is null and void. Many big companies have massive legal teams to draw up the paperwork. While some conditions are voided if separation occurs, other terms are often upheld for months or even years.

Could Gemma’s vlog vent about Freshco lead to consequences? Could the company end up filing a lawsuit? Or even worse, will they undo Gemma’s progress by trying to save their tarnished image? Shady businesses have been known to perform character assassination when under attack. We will have to see what happens with this storyline.
