Coronation Street spoilers reveal that in Weatherfield after Oliver Battersby’s (Jeremiah and Emmanual Cheetham) funeral, Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) decides to go to France. It seems that Sam Blakeman’s (Jude Riordan) first attempt to change Leanne’s mind fails. However, he comes up with another scheme and it just might work.

Corrie spoilers reveal that Leanne (Jane Danson) has been struggling for months. First, there were the seizures, then the doctors trying to figure out the cause and ultimately, Leanne and Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) would receive Oliver’s devastating diagnosis. Leanne has tried to be her son’s advocate and champion. She even went to court to prevent him from going off life support. However, all of Leanne’s efforts failed and Oliver passed away.

Now, Leanne plans on going to France. While Express wrote it was because she couldn’t face the other residents, it is more likely because everything is a reminder of Oliver.

Sam Blakeman’s Statement

Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and Natasha Blakeman’s (Rachel Leskovac) son will surprise Leanne by making a statement. Sam (Jude Riordan) will ask Leanne to stay because if she does, she might actually like him. Then, he proceeds to give Leanne a list of all the things she will like about him. The youngster really just wants to see his dad happy, but it seems his plan fails. Leanne decides to go ahead with her plan to leave.

Impersonating Nick Tilsley

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Sam will come up with another idea. He takes Nick’s phone and sends Leanne a message. He hopes that when Leanne reads the message from “Nick,” she will change her mind. However, will it actually work or could it end up making the situation worse?

Will Leanne Battersby Return?

Under normal circumstances, there would be an announcement of an actress leaving the show. We haven’t come across any information confirming her exit. It’s still possible Danson might leave, but we are betting that something gets her to stay — or she could just be gone for a brief period.
