Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Ken Barlow (William Roache) is still struggling to cope with the exit of two characters. Martha Fraser (Stephanie Beacham) and Wendy Papadopoulos (Roberta Kerr) have decided to leave following the chaotic play.
For those who didn’t know, Martha and Wendy both share a past with Ken.
The former had an affair with Ken while he was married to Deirdre Barlow (Anne Kirkbride). As for the latter, they both share a romantic past, which they rekindled when she returned earlier this year.
Both women decided to leave when the chaotic play ended. During the presentation, Martha went off script and called Ken “a cheat and a philanderer” in front of the audience. She continued on to say that he’s been lying all his life because he was weak and selfish. She then revealed that the man he was talking about was named Ken.
Ken was mortified, while Wendy enjoyed watching the show. He tried to calm things down by saying that it all happened in the past and that what they could do now was move on with their lives.
But Martha wasn’t in a forgiving mood. Later on, Martha and Wendy announced that they were moving to Hull and collaborating on a new play. Digital Spy confirmed the exit of both characters.
Coronation Street Spoilers: Jacob Meets With Estranged Father
Spoilers hint that Jacob Hay (Jack James Ryan) will meet with his estranged father, even if he rejected him at first. Damon (Ciaran Griffiths) is in Weatherfield after years of being away from his family.
Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) convinces Jacob to give his father a second chance. Jacob reluctantly goes out for a drink with Damon, and the latter insists that he wants to make up for the years he’s absent in his son’s life.
Griff Invites Max To Go On Camping Trip
Elsewhere, Griff Reynold (Michael Condron) will invite Max Turner (Paddy Beaver) to go on a camping trip with the rest of the group. David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) warns him that it’s a bad idea, but Max will still go with Griff. Spider Nugent (Martin Hancock) is becoming even more worried about what Griff and his gang will do next, so he’ll find ways to gather as much evidence as he can against Griff. Next week, fans will finally meet Griff’s secret financial banker.
