Coronation Street Spoilers – Cilla Battersby-Brown’s History

Corrie spoilers reveal that Cilla has two children: Chesney and Fiona “Fiz” Brown (Jennie McAlpine). She abandoned her teenage son to take off to Las Vegas. She was also not a favorite neighbor due to her constant scams.

Eventually, Cilla returned and had a diagnosis of osteoporosis. She was in a wheelchair and came back to make amends. After Chesney refused to help his mother, Fiz ended up taking her out of the area for treatment. Mother and son never did get the opportunity to repair their relationship.

Some neighbors are the kind you want to bake an apple pie for. Then there are others that you just want to strangle. The latter is the case for Cilla when she was on the show. Not only was she always scamming somebody, but she married troubled resident Leslie “Les” Battersby-Brown (formerly Bruce Jones).

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Cilla just didn’t have problems with the other residents. She ended up taking off to Las Vegas in 2007, leaving young Chesney behind. That wasn’t the only reason why Chesney has bitterness in his heart. However, it is the primary one.

As far as fans know, Chesney hasn’t reached out to Cilla after he turned his back on her the last time.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Will Wendi Peters Return?

Viewers always want to know who is leaving and which characters might return. Peters participated in the Guide Dogs’ virtual tea party. According to the Sun, the actress revealed if she is returning and if she has any interest in reprising the role of Cilla. She replied,

“If a lovely story-line came up and I popped back in for a little while, it’d be nice. But I’m so busy work-wise… It would be quite fun now they’ve got quadruplets to have the mother from hell to look after them.”

So, it sounds like Peters is too busy at the moment. But she would be open to reprising the role of Cilla aka the “Mother From Hell.” She would just want it to be the right storyline. Would you like to see Chesney’s mom come back?
