Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) is moving far away to escape the drug kingpin. Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) hears about her ordeal and races to stop her. They do face one another and Nick begs Leanne to stay. As much as she wants to, Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) and Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) must come first.

Corrie spoilers reveal that Harvey (Will Mellor) finds out that Leanne was the one who talked to the police. He threatens to kill her, but then decides to use the one thing that Leanne is afraid of losing more than her own life. She grabs Simon and drags him out to a drug job with him. It is the same one that Leanne gave police the details for so they could do a drug raid. She comes to the conclusion that the police won’t be able to help her or Simon. If she wants to protect her son, then they will have to disappear.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Nick Tilsley’s Declaration

As Leanne and Simon get ready to leave, Nick chases them down. He heard what was going on and that Leanne was taking off with Simon. He begs her not to go and that he’s in love with her. Despite her wanting nothing more than to run into the safety of his arms, Leanne makes a heartbreaking decision. She walks away from Nick in order to save Simon. Nick understands that this is the way things must be right now. While Leanne must leave to protect Simon, he has to stay to keep Sam safe.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Not Losing Another Son

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Leanne knows that she’s to blame for this entire situation. She was so swallowed up in her grief for Oliver Battersby (Jeremiah and Emmanual Cheetham) that Simon had to be the adult. If she had just gotten herself together to take care of the other son that needed her, then this wouldn’t be happening. Leanne also can’t bear the thought of losing another son. She will do whatever is necessary to protect Simon, even if that means putting her own happiness aside.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Heartbreaking Sacrifice

Actress Jane Danson spoke to Inside Soap magazine about Ben and Leanne’s heartbreaking goodbye. She explained,

“Leanne still loves Nick and wants to be with him, but he has Sam — a son that he needs to put first — just as she has to do with Simon. Leanne is sacrificing her happiness for her child, which is the right choice.”

Leanne tells Nick that it’s too late for them to be together. He has to choose to abandon his son and come with her, or be a good father and make sure Sam stays safe.
