Corrie spoilers reveal that the 2021 preview confirmed that Nina would have a new romance. However, it was also stated in Inside Soap magazine that it will be a complicated relationship. Not everyone will be supportive and some problems will come up that will turn it into a massive social issue. The storyline will also include several other characters, including Roy Cropper (David Neilson), Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) and Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell).

Asha Alahan’s Education

Right now, we are seeing Dev Alahan (Jimmie Harkishin) react to his daughter’s struggling grades at school. It has been a really tough year for Asha (Tanisha Gorey) and she has gone through so much. It’s understandable that her schoolwork suffered. As Dev worries about Asha’s education, Nina (Mollie Gallagher) suggests that it might be easier for the teenager to study in the cafe.

Making A Great Team

Coronation Street spoilers from Digital Spy reveal that Asha helps Nina while she’s at the cafe. The two girls realize that they make a really great team. Viewers were able to see the unmistakable chemistry and spark between Nina and Asha. Fans have been speculating for quite a long time that Nina and Asha might end up having a romance.

In fact, during Asha’s most horrendous ordeals, Nina was a pillar of support. She also stepped in and gave Dev some advice on how to talk to his daughter without pushing her away. Nina was also the one who helped Asha with her low self-esteem. Even though she didn’t agree with Asha getting back together with Corey Brent (Maximum Evans) after the striptease scandal, she supported her decision.

Social Issue And Heartbreak

When speaking of Nina’s love story for 2021, producer Iain MacLeod said, “There’ll be a fantastic and unique love story for Nina, which might not entirely end up where you expect now. The love story will turn into a massive social issue story that deals with tolerance of people who are part of minority communities and don’t look like everybody else. It’ll become a real talking point – how does the world view people like Nina in reality?”

He added that the challenges of that are completely different in real life than they are in the soap. They are really going to explore that, but it could end in heartbreak for Nina. We will have to keep watching to see how this storyline develops over the next few weeks.
