Coronation Street: Sally DynevorCoronation Street Spoilers hint that Sally Dynevor has made her plans for the future on the ITV soap clear to viewers. Sally Metcalfe has been a staple on the British soap for over 30 years. Sally recently made it clear that she has no intention of leaving the show anytime soon.

She went on to Sunday Mirror to reveal that she would like to continue to play the role of Sally Metcalfe on the soap and how it has kept her going through one of the most difficult times in her life.  She also talked about how she would like to give co star, Ken Barlow a run for his money as well.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Special Tribute Of Sally Dynevor

In 2009, Sally was dealing with her breast cancer, which was mirrored her character who had been receiving treatment for an illness herself. She went on to say, “Corrie was a beacon actually.” She stated, “I realised how important my work is to me and I was desperate to get back, because as soon as I got back to work, I could try to put it behind me, which I think I have done.” This week, Coronation Street will be airing a special tribute show by the name of

Coronation Street Icons which will include the many exciting storylines will be examined in the special. This special will include one episode which will focus exclusively on Sally Metcalfe.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Sally Dynevor’s Future On The Show

This has made Sally Dynevor happy to see that her character has become part of a legacy on the show and says that she would love to continue to play the character for as long as she can. She went on to say, “When I look at Bill (Roache, who plays Ken Barlow), Barbara (Knox, who plays Rita Tanner) and Sue Nicholls (Audrey Roberts), they’re incredible. Nobody knows their lines better than them. I hope I’m still in the show in my 70s and 80s – if they’ll have me! I’m very sociable, I love coming in to work and I want to keep going as long as I can.”

She went on to talk about how she does not like watching herself on tv although she loves playing the role, “I hate watching myself! I’m not a very confident person, so I criticise everything about myself and what I’m doing. I think of the thousands of ways I would have done the scene differently and I think ‘God, do I look like that?’ All those things go through your head.” Be sure to tune in to catch up on everything happening with Corrie right now.
