Corrie spoilers reveal that Simon has a troubled family life from every angle. Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) struggled with losing her son, Oliver Battersby (Jeremiah and Emmanuel Cheetham). She couldn’t function, hid in the flat while everyone thought she was in France, overdosed on sleeping pills, quit her job, and was basically unable to function. Then, she bounced into contacting a bunch of psychics and chasing feathers to the point where she nearly got hit by a car.

As for Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne), he has liver failure and is an alcoholic. He contemplated suicide and wrote a goodbye letter to Simon. There is also the on and off relationship between Peter and Carla Connor (Alison King). As for other family members, they are preoccupied with dealing with Peter.

Not only did Simon’s troubled family life make him an easy target, but he also felt alone. He didn’t feel like he had any real friends or anyone who would listen. So, when Jacob came along and actually listened to Simon and then helped him with money, Simon fell right into the trap. The actor spoke to Digital Spy and explained, “When Simon first met Jacob, he just saw him as somebody who cared. Somebody who listened to his problems, somebody who he could talk to about anything, no matter what it is, no matter how silly he thinks it is. Jacob does listen to Simon. On top of that, Jacob sees Simon’s vulnerability and he thinks he can use it. Simon thinks he can get Simon to do all these jobs. Simon ends up beginning to courier for him and drops drugs all over the North West really, to be honest.”

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Simon’s drug dealing storyline is going to get much dark and more dangerous. The teenager has no idea of how deep he is getting. Coronation Street Spoilers – Simon Barlow In Too Deep

Simon will bring Jacob to the flat so they can count the drug money. Leanne happens to come home and is terrified. As the two young men take over the flat, Leanne will hide in her bedroom. Then, she turns to Carla and explains what is going on. Carla goes to handle the situation but begs Leanne not to say anything about it to Peter. In March, the storyline will take an even darker and more lethal turn when drug lord Harvey (Will Mellor) comes onto the scene. It will be up to Leanne to put on her armor to save Simon’s life. It is teased that Carla, Nick Tilsley (Ben Price), and other characters get wrapped into the storyline. Can Simon be saved before it’s too late or will this story end in tragedy?
