In the recent episode of the longest-running soap, Stephen (Todd Boyce) got himself involve with Elaine (Paula Wilcox) when he set his eyes on her as his next victim. Avid viewers knew that the villain had a financial crisis when he stepped back into the cobbles. The moment he knew that the woman owned a large amount of equity in her home, he tried to get closer to Elaine as much as possible.

On the other hand, Elaine’s son, Tim, warned his mom to never get too close to Stephen. The matriarch then assured his bundle of joy that the man was far from her abusive ex-husband. Determined to keep Elaine safe, the youngster approached Stephen and opened up about his mom’s experiences under her former marriage. However, instead of sympathizing with the woman, Stephen used it as a trap to involve her in his wicked plans.

Speaking of wicked plans, the cobbles’ villain recently drugged Carla’s (Alison King) drink when he had his revenge for embarrassing him in front of his former associate, Dick Havisham. Moreover, when the Underworld manager felt dizzy, he rushed to Carla’s office and messed up her paper works as well as deleted her scheduled meeting with Dick.

The moment Stephen agrees with the idea, Elaine is filled with joy and hopes to bring their relationship to the next level.

In his latest chat with Digital Spy, Todd Boyce talks about Stephen Reid’s personality in Weatherfield. “He is perfectly capable of being charming – he has got Elaine, Rita, Jenny, and Sarah fooled, but men can be a bit wary of him. It is such a veneer, he is pretty shameless,” he stated.
