Corrie spoilers reveal that since Yasmeen has been arrested, she has actually made really good progress. At first, she wasn’t going to tell anyone about her personal life with Geoff. She even was just going to plead guilty. However, she eventually changed her mind, and after a PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) flashback in her head. Recalling all the cruel things Geoff would say, she suddenly entered a plea of not guilty.

Alya Nazir’s Mistake

When Geoff returns to work, he overhears Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) talking about how Yasmeen is going to call her at 3:30 pm. That was her first mistake, letting Geoff overhear that detail. Then, he manages to steal her phone so when Yasmeen calls, he is there to answer it.

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Geoff plans on talking to Yasmeen when she calls, which horrifies her. This could go one of three ways. First, he could threaten Yasmeen, but since jailhouse communication is usually monitored, that isn’t very likely. The second possibility is that Geoff tries to sweet-talk his wife so that she regrets pleading guilty. That is a common theme with abusers and unfortunately, it’s effective.

The third and most likely possibility is that Geoff manipulates Yasmeen like he has all those times before. Tells her how it’s her fault, that he was just trying to “help” her, that she simply snapped and he has no idea why. Depending on Yasmeen’s state of mind, Geoff’s attempt to control Yasmeen could massively fail — or it could make her question everything.

What Happens Next?

According to Express, Yasmeen might be given an ultimatum after her phone call with Geoff. It could be up to Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dyvenor) to prove Yasmeen’s innocence and show that Geoff is the real person who should be behind bars. But can she do it before Yasmeen is found guilty and spends the rest of her life in prison?
