In the recent episode, the trio was furious after learning from the police that the couple accused Summer of extorting money from them by lying about the baby.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Mike Hargrave Traps Summer

Fans may recall that Mike left Summer trapped and unconscious in their nursery room after she found out that he had a secret lovechild when he cheated on his wife, Esther. Summer decided that she would no longer proceed with her surrogacy plan, which left Mike furious.

Fortunately, Esther came home and called an ambulance for Summer. At this time, Esther found out about Mike’s lies. Meanwhile, Summer is confined in the hospital while she recovers.

Paul and Todd immediately rushed towards Summer after seeing that Mike was at her bedside in the hospital. The latter tried to escape, but Paul and Todd managed to catch up to him. They had a heated confrontation that led to Paul knocking over Mike and hitting his head on a plant pot.

Todd called for help and scrambled to get into the van with Paul so they could immediately escape. Todd felt guilty when Paul started to share how Summer’s situation reminded him of the time he was abused. He felt even more guilty when Paul admitted that the only time he felt safe was when Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) was by his side.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Todd Grimshaw Takes On Blame Over Incident With Mike

Shortly after they got back home, they heard a knock on the door. The police came to ask them about the alleged assault on Mike. Even before Paul could admit his mistake, Todd jumped in and said that it was his fault.

Todd said that he and Mike had a tense confrontation, and he lost his temper, which led to him pushing the latter out of anger. The police arrested Todd on suspicion of assault, leaving Paul shocked at what Todd did for him.
