Corrie spoilers reveal that Emma usually tries to have a cheerful and positive attitude. She is a sweet and quirky character. However, certain events have weighed heavily on the young woman. It seems that she is beginning to lose her spark and might be headed down the dark path of depression.

Emma had strong feelings for Sebastian “Seb” Franklin (Harry Visinoni), who was more interested in someone else. She finally couldn’t deny it anymore and broke up with him. Already heartbroken, other events in her life would add to her stress and anxiety.

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Emma moved back in with Tracy and Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson). However, Tracy makes it obvious that she doesn’t want her there. She always has to make some sort of snide comment to Emma, which is whittling away at her self-esteem.

Things got even tenser when Eccles had to be put down. The Barlow family seemed to blame her for the dog’s death and Tracy cruelly lashed out at Emma.

It was a very public scene, which got Steve’s attention. He went to calm down Emma, leaving Oliver with Summer Spellman (Matilda Freeman). During the short time that Steve was gone, Oliver had a seizure.

Now, Steve regrets being so involved in Emma’s drama and might even secretly blame her for Oliver’s health crisis.

All the signs point to Emma becoming more depressed. She is already having thoughts of just going away. She feels unloved and unwanted. It seems that whatever she does, it is wrong. She thinks that no matter how hard she tries, she just can’t win. Her normally cheerful and happy demeanor is being replaced by darkness. Her inner light is dimming and she is beginning to feel hopeless.

It is clear that she is spiraling down into a depression, but will anyone notice or even care? Could we see her mental health get worse and possibly even lead to thoughts of suicide? We will have to keep watching to see where this story goes, but let’s hope that Emma will soon see better days.
