Coronation Street Star Shelley King Hints Yasmeen Nazir And Stu Carpenter’s Romance

In their previous episode, it was seen that Yasmeen Nazir felt embarrassed after knowing that the piece of jewelry she found in one of Stu Carpenter’s (Bill Fellows) shopping bags, which she assumed was for her, was truly intended for his daughter. The man then revealed that he has been trying to connect with his daughter, Bridget, for years but constantly failed.

Stu mentioned that he always sends something special for his daughter every year but didn’t know if Bridget receives them, for he also doesn’t know where she currently lives. Knowing all the struggles of her friend, Yasmeen sympathized with Stu and tried to help him by searching for his long-lost daughter. Will Yasmeen succeed?

Coronation Street Spoilers – Is There A Potential Romance for Yasmeen Nazir And Stu Carpenter?

During her latest interview with Daily Star, Shelley King has revealed the possible storyline for the Speed Daal owner, Yasmeen Nazir, and the formerly homeless man, Stu Carpenter. When asked about a potential romance between the two characters, King responded, “I think possibly! Yasmeen is a mender, she’s a fixer, and I think that’s very attractive to her. He’s gentle, he’s human, he’s cuddly and Yasmeen wants to save him.”

The 66-year-old actress mentioned that if her character will soon find love with Stu, she hoped that it won’t be as tragic as her past relationship. She believed that in their future storyline, Yasmeen will find it hard to trust again because of her experiences in the past, but she will find comfort in the gentle kind of man she found in Stu.

When asked about the storyline of Stu and her daughter, Bridget, the “Corrie” star said that the viewers must watch out for the future happenings of their characters’ lives. “I think that the best thing everybody can do is to see what happens. You know that Stu has a daughter, now you have to find out how that whole story evolves, and actually, we have to find out as well because we work very much on the cuff,” Shelley King stated.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Shelley King Acknowledges Mel B For Her Abuse Storyline On ‘Corrie’

The Spice Girls icon, Mel B, has been vocal about the physical and mental abuse she experienced during her marriage to Stephen Belafonte, and during the Pride of Manchester Awards in May 2022, Shelley King approached the singer and thanked her for being her inspiration as she portrayed as an abused wife on “Coronation Street.”

King also revealed that she and the whole production have connected to several people who experienced abuse in their relationships for them to send the storyline more realistically. “We were greatly helped, I absorbed it, I’m like a sponge – I take on and try and put myself in that position and use myself to portray what other people have said,” she told Daily Star.
