Artem Chigvintsev Responds To Nikki Garcia’s Restraining Order

Dancing With the Stars alum Artem Chigvintsev has responded after Nikki Garcia obtained a restraining order against him. The order, signed off by a judge came after his arrest for alleged domestic violence, and the two versions of what happened are quite different. 

Artem Chigvintsev Had His Charges Dropped

The arrest for alleged domestic violence made Dancing With the Stars fans angry. In fact, there’s nothing quite as alarming as allegations of violence in the home. So, many people hoped the judge would throw the book at the DWTS pro-dancer. However, the charges were dropped due to a lack of evidence. 

Nikki Gracia didn’t hang about filing for a divorce after the incident when the couple celebrated their anniversary in Napa, California at the end of August. Artem Chigvintsev responded by suggesting he cared more about custody rights to their son Matteo than his estranged wife. Additionally, he wants Nikki to support him fim during the divorce.

The DWTS pro-dancer and the former professional wrestler agree on two things: a pair of shoes was thrown at Artem. And, the fight all started over what the two parents chose to feed their young son at breakfast. But, Nikki Garcia alleged he had been moody since he was passed over for Season 33 of DWTS. 

Nikki Garcia alleged that Artem Chigvintsev hurt his son as he dragged him out of the kitchen. She also alleged that he tackled her in the passage when she tried to get to Matteo. And, he allegedly dragged her to their bathroom where he tried to suffocate her. According to TMZ, his version is not that violent.

The court’s restraining order means that the DWTS alum cannot be within 100 yards of his wife and child, and can only see Matteo under supervision. Once, Nikki admitted that he suffers from “separation anxiety” when Matteo isn’t around. The outlet reported that he said that they argued about the child’s breakfast and lunch box before he went to help Matteo get ready for school.

Next, the Dancing With the Stars alum said that Nikki Garcia argued about how he was inept at putting on Matteo’s shoes. Then, she allegedly threw the shoes at him. Because she screamed and shouted, Artem Chigvintsev took Matteo upstairs, but she followed them. He tried to protect Matteo by pushing against the door to prevent Matteo from seeing the fight escalate. But, she allegedly got inside and “physically attacked” him.

Photo Evidence Of Aggression? 

Interestingly, he was able to provide photos that revealed “injuries to his hand, elbow and the back of his head … claiming Nikki was responsible for it all,” per the outlet. Because he called 911, Nikki Garcia allegedly shouted at Artem, “Do you understand how this is gonna go now Artem? You just ruined my career and you know it.”
