And that comeback sparked rumors about her appearance on the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars. As a result, Dancing With The Stars judge Derek Hough talked with TMZ about the possibility of seeing the Vanderpump Rules star on DWTS.

And Hough shared that he believes both DWTS and Ariana would benefit from her presence on the dancing competition show. Because Madix’s co-stars and Vanderpump Rules viewers united to support her, Derek sees Ariana as the perfect candidate.  And the Dancing With The Stars judge even shared what he sees as the formula for choosing the right contestants for DWTS.

The process starts when a celebrity becomes a household name. And in the case of Ariana, that happened when Vanderpump Rules dropped the bombshell dubbed Scandoval. After nearly 10 years together, Sandoval had cheated on Madix with Ariana’s supposed best friend, Raquel Leviss. As a result of the drama, ratings soared for Vanderpump Rules. And Ariana became famous, even getting an invitation to dine at the White House.

DWTS – Judge Derek Hough Endorses Ariana Madix

During the interview at LAX, Derek went into detail about what he sees as the right next step for Ariana. Because she has become so well-known, Hough feels that she represents a textbook perfect DWTS contestant. And Madix has increasingly appeared in headlines since March. That month marked the start of the drama, with Ariana showing her heartbreak over Sandoval cheating on her with their Vanderpump Rules costar Raquel.

However, Derek also confessed that he has focused recently on figuring out his upcoming wedding rather than watching reality TV. But although he may not know every detail of the scandal involving Sandoval, Madix, and Leviss, Hough knows enough to endorse inviting Ariana onto DWTS. The Dancing With The Stars judge did not confirm or deny the rumors that Ariana has begun discussing the possibility of joining DWTS. But Derek did share his support for her presence on Dancing With The Stars season 32.
