Days of Our Lives Spoilers: DOOL Renewed For Another Year – Great News For Soap Fans

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers has some great news to pass along. DOOL has been renewed for one more year, which will be the NBC soap’s 56th season. According to Deadline, Days of Our Lives’ Executive Producer Ken Corday announced the renewal to the cast this afternoon, Thursday, November 21st.

As you might have been aware, last week various sites incorrectly reported that Days of Our Lives was either canceled or near cancellation. This was all due to the show’s planned hiatus that starts at the end of November, and the fact that the show released the actors from their contracts for the duration of the hiatus. There was a lot of misreporting on the issue.

After all the misreporting, various Days of Our Lives, cast members spoke out and told their social media followers that the show wasn’t canceled, and that they weren’t going anywhere and that the reports of “mass firings” was inflammatory and just plain misleading.

Now that the news about Days of Our Lives getting picked up for season 56 has been announced, the cast members who previously spoke out were shown to be correct and fans couldn’t be happier. Chandler Massey, who portrays Will Horton on DOOL, tweeted shortly after the renewal announcement by saying: “I told ya. :)”

Chandler has received numerous replies from excited fans. One replied: “Congratulations! I’m super excited about this fantastic news.” And another replied: “I never doubted you for a second! Congrats! Excited for what’s to come!”

Eric Martsolf, who portrays Brady Black on DOOL, tweeted about the great news as well. He said simply: “Y’all ready for some more?” One excited fan replied: “Oh yes, you know we are! Congratulations on the #Days renewal. So happy for the cast, crew, and us fans!”

In a fun move, Y&R’s Twitter account tweeted their congratulations to DOOL as well, which is great. We want to see the soaps supporting and encouraging each other, and we definitely want to see the soaps live on, so it’s great news that Days of Our Lives has been renewed for another year.

We should point out that the renewal announcement came earlier than is usual – typically these sorts of things are announced at the beginning of the year. The early announcement may have been due to fan outcry over all the misleading stories that were circulating last week. The great news is that DOOL is not canceled and we can look forward to seeing it on our screens for another year!
