General Hospital Spoilers: 3 Reasons Why Dev Betrays Sonny And Becomes Cyrus’ Recruit

ABC General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that in Port Charles, New York Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab) isn’t going to the dark side, he’s already there! He showed his true colors by steamrolling his good friends Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Cam Webber (William Lipton) and he could take the next leap by teaming up with a true evildoer.

What are the chances that Dev does a Darth Vader and hooks up with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober)? Right now Cyrus is working with Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) to be his snitch but he’d have better luck recruiting Dev. Here are three reasons why Dev could turn against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and align himself with Cyrus.

#1 Dev Cerci Shamelessly Threw Josslyn Jacks Under The bus

Who was not shocked by what Dev did to Josslyn Jacks? It was bad enough when it appeared he stole her diary and showed it to Cam, but even worse when it became clear he forged her disgust about Cam’s kiss and then rubbed Cam’s nose in it. It’s clear he has lost his conscience.

#2 Dev Cerci Has A History Of Living On The Wrong Side Of The Law

Let’s face it, Dev is a con. That’s how Sonny found him in Turkey when he was looking for Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Dev was surviving by living off his wits on the streets and apparently, that mentality is still with him. He thought nothing of betraying the family that took him in and that’s scary. What’s even scarier is the boom Sonny will land on him when he finds out what he did.

#3 Cyrus Renault Can Smell Snitches A Mile Away

Dev isn’t the type to take punishment well, he obviously has a mind of his own and thinks he’s above the law. With stinky morals like that Cyrus will be able to smell his rat-ness a mile away. Sonny won’t be happy when he learns about Dev’s treatment of Joss and who knows what else Dev will do to make his dream of being with her a reality.

It could be that both Sonny and Joss’s dad comes down hard on Dev and maybe even put him back out on the street. With nowhere to go it’s a no-brainer he’d take the first offer he gets and that could be from savvy Cyrus. In Dev’s twisted mind he may even rationalize helping Cyrus as a way of getting payback for being abandoned. Will Dev be the one Cyrus recruits and not Brando? Or will he try to get both of them in his operation?
