General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Kills Nina’s Engagement To Sonny When She Exposes Her Lies

General Hospital spoilers hint Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is losing sleep over the news that her ex-husband, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), is going to marry her nemesis, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). She’s in disbelief. How could Sonny possibly see Nina as marriage material after all that she’s done to their family? How could he force her further into the fold when no one wants her there — most of all, Carly? When Sonny makes it clear he’s not interested in taking his time and would rather sprint to the end of the aisle with his lover, Carly is going to feel the heat.

The pressure to find another reason for Sonny to call this off will be unimaginable — especially when he is already turning his cheek to so many other valid reasons he should be running in the opposite direction. Little does Carly know, she’s closer than she thinks to bringing Nina’s relationship with Sonny to its brutal end.

Amidst all of this, the SEC is still looking into Carly and Drew’s insider trading deal. Let’s be fair, that is what it is. They are guilty, but that doesn’t mean we want either of them going away to prison. Nina wouldn’t mind it though, as long as no one finds out it was her doing. Fighting these charges isn’t going to be easy, and Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) won’t be able to represent both Carly and Drew. One of them will need another attorney, and it may come as a surprise when Martin ‘Marty’ Grey (Michael E. Knight) refuses to take the case — leading Diane to wonder why. That’s not going to delight Nina.

Despite all of the grim outcomes brewing, Drew is focused on his relationship with Carly. He just wishes she wasn’t so interested in what her past is up to. The more that Carly involves herself with Sonny’s love affair, the more Drew is going to wonder if they’re really in this together. If the SEC investigation requires them to turn on one another, will it even matter when Carly is clearly still torn up over who Sonny loves.
