General Hospital Spoilers: Cody Comes Clean About Dante’s Past — And Blackmails Sam

General Hospital spoilers reveals Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) had words recently, and things might have gotten messy had they not been interrupted. Cody casually over spoke and implied he knew something shady about Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) past that Sam was oblivious to.

She was instantly intrigued by his implication and is longing to know more. Of course, she’s not expecting to walk into another one of Cody’s traps where he ends up with even more leverage over the people she loves. Wasn’t blackmailing Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) enough? Now it’s Sam’s turn.

Cody seemed all too eager to let that information slip to Sam, like he had been waiting for the perfect opportunity to let her know what Saint Dante is really all about. Cody is tired of living in the shadow of every do-gooder in Port Charles. Despite his ulterior motives, he expects everyone to treat him like one of the good guys, and although he doesn’t want to hurt his friend, Dante, he’s going to do what he has to in order to deflect from himself right now. On the other hand, Cody might actually be a little bit bitter about his past with Dante. After all, he took the fall for something Dante did. Look where it got them both.

Sam isn’t going to be able to stop thinking about what Cody just said to her, and it’s going to throw a wrench into her relationship with Dante if she lets it fester. She could just go to Dante and tell him her concerns, but he might start asking questions about why she and Cody were even having this conversation. Sam and Spinelli can’t afford for Dante to find out the truth about what Spinelli has been up to. Furthermore, Cody will make certain he does if she points Dante in his direction. So Sam is going to confront Cody about what he said, and she will bait him into snapping and telling her the truth.

When Cody tells Sam what his juvenile arrest record holds, he just might stop there and let her cast her judgment. It’s going to work in his favor for Sam to form an impression of who she thinks Cody is and has been since he was a child. Then, he’ll clue her into the truth — that the crime on that record was committed by her beloved boyfriend. When Cody sees the opportunity to use Sam’s knowledge of Dante’s past to his advantage, he’ll take it. Instead of confronting Dante about the truth, Sam is going to be forced to keep it to herself as Cody has her over a barrel and threatens to tell the PCPD and all of Port Charles what Dante did.
